Greg Reuter, a Broadway veteran of two decades, died suddenly on December 18 at the age of 43. The cause of Reuter's death has not yet been announced.

On Broadway, Reuter's most recent credit was Shrek The Musical, in which he played several roles and understudied for the role of Lord Farquaad. He also appeared in Spamalot, Bells Are Ringing, and Chicago. Among his many other shows were Fosse, Aida, and The Producers. An original cast member of the long-running improv revue Don't Quit Your Night Job, he worked as a backup singer for Liza Minnelli and performed on the Tony Awards three times. He can also be heard on three Grammy-winning Broadway cast albums.

Reuter graduated with a BFA in musical theater with honors from Western Michigan University. He served as a senior faculty member for Broadway University and taught and designed curriculums for Camp Broadway and Broadway Classroom. He recently began an assistant professorship of musical theater and choreography at Michigan State University.
