The world premiere of David Greenspan's I'm Looking for Helen Twelvetrees is set to run at Abrons Arts Center from March 19-April 4. The production will reunite Greenspan with past collaborator Leigh Silverman (Violet).

The production features performances by David Greenspan, Brooke Bloom (You Got Older), and Keith Nobbs (Bronx Bombers).

Greenspan wrote the work after coming across a photograph of the actress Helen Twelvetrees, a real-life star of early talkies. The play follows a young man named Mike as he seeks out the actress, who is now playing Blanche DuBois at a Long Island summer stock theater in 1951.

The Abrons Arts Center is the Obie award-winning performing and visual arts program of Henry Street Settlement. The Abrons supports the creation and presentation of innovative, multidisciplinary work and aims to serve as an intersection of engagement for audiences and arts-workers.
