Grease: Live, airing on Fox on January 31, 2016, will round out its creative team with a group of seasoned Broadway veterans.

The telecast, directed by Hamilton's Thomas Kail, will now include music supervision by Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize winner Tom Kitt (If/Then, Next to Normal), production design by Drama Desk Award winner David Korins (Misery, Hamilton), and costume design by Tony Award winner William Ivey Long (Cinderella, On the Twentieth Century). As previously announced, Zach Woodlee (Glee, Annie) will lend choreography.

Adapted by playwrights Robert Cary and Jonathan Tolins, the broadcast production of Grease is based on the original stage musical by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey and its 1978 screen adaptation.

The cast stars Aaron Tveit as Danny Zuko, and Julianne Hough as Sandy, with Vanessa Hudgens as Betty Rizzo, Carlos PenaVega as Kenickie, Keke Palmer as Marty, Carly Rae Jepsen as Frenchy, Kether Donohue as Jan, David Del Rio as Putzie, Mario Lopez as Vince Fontaine, and Ana Gasteyer as Principal McGee.

Grammy-nominated singer Jessie J will also open the live event with a performance of a brand-new version of "Grease (Is the Word)," originally written by Barry Gibb.
