Montego Glover and Anne L. Nathan Join Broadway Cast of It Shoulda Been You

Josh Grisetti, Nick Spangler, and Chip Zien also join the ensemble of the new comedy directed by David Hyde Pierce.

Additional casting has been announced for It Shoulda Been You on Broadway. The Brian Hargrove-Barbara Anselmi musical, which ran at the George Street Playhouse in 2011, will open April 14 at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre with previews beginning March 17. Tony and Emmy winner David Hyde Pierce, husband to bookwriter/lyricist Hargrove, directs the musical.

Newly announced cast members include Montego Glover (Memphis), Josh Grisetti (Peter and the Starcatcher), Michael X. Martin (The Bridges of Madison County), Anne L. Nathan (Once), Nick Spangler (The Book of Mormon), and Chip Zien (Into the Woods). They join previously announced stars Tyne Daly, Harriet Harris, Sierra Boggess, David Burtka, Lisa Howard, and Edward Hibbert.

It Shoulda Been You is described as "a culture clash for the ages" that follows two families who come together to celebrate a wedding.

The creative team for It Shoulda Been You includes Josh Rhodes (choreography), Anna Louizos (set design), William Ivey Long (costume design), Ken Billington (lighting design), and Nevin Steinberg (sound design), with additional lyrics by Jill Abramovitz, Carla Rose Fisher, Michael Cooper, Ernie Lijoi, and Will Randall.
