Fun Home to Become First Broadway Show on Late Night With Seth Meyers

The show’s originator, Alison Bechdel, will join the Tony-winning cast.

The Tony-winning Broadway musical Fun Home will become the first Broadway show to perform on Late Night With Seth Meyers, with Beth Malone, Emily Skeggs, and Roberta Colindrez singing "Changing My Major" on the program tonight. This evening's episode will also feature Alison Bechdel, the celebrated author of the graphic memoir upon which Fun Home is based.

Fun Home, which won the 2015 Tony Award for Best Musical, follows Bechdel's journey to accept the death of her stern, closeted father, Bruce, while coming to terms with her own sexuality. The production features a Tony-winning score by Jeanine Tesori and Lisa Kron, and a Tony-winning book by Kron. Under the direction of Tony winner Sam Gold, it was first presented at the Public Theater in 2013.

The Broadway production of Fun Home opened at Circle in the Square Theatre on April 19. Its cast features 2015 Tony Award winner Michael Cerveris as well as 2015 Tony Award nominees Judy Kuhn, Beth Malone, Sydney Lucas, and Emily Skeggs. Fun Home was also nominated for 2015 Tony Awards for Best Scenic Design of Musical (David Zinn), Best Lighting Design of a Musical (Ben Stanton), and Best Orchestrations (John Clancy).

The cast also includes Roberta Colindrez, Zell Steele Morrow, Joel Perez, Oscar Williams, Lauren Patten, Gabriella Pizzolo, Marrick Smith, Jim Stanek, and Nicole Van Giesen.

The creative team includes Danny Mefford (choreography), Kai Harada (sound design), and Chris Fenwick (music direction).
