Fun Home Launches Into Broadway Rehearsals

The Public Theater cast reunites for the musical’s Broadway run.

Lisa Kron and Jeanine Tesori's musical Fun Home is now in the thick of rehearsals for its upcoming Broadway run at Circle in the Square Theatre. The show, which premiered last year at the Public Theater, is set to begin performances on March 27 in advance of an April 19 opening.

Inspired by Alison Bechdel's graphic novel-memoir of the same title, Fun Home follows the real-life Bechdel's journey to accept the death of her stern, closeted father, Bruce, while coming to terms with her own sexuality. After months away from the acclaimed piece, take a look as the cast and creative team reunite on the first day of their Broadway journey.
