Tony winner LaChanze headed into the recording studio on January 19 to record an EP of songs in anticipation of her upcoming concert, Feeling Good. The show will take place at the Highline Ballroom on Monday, February 27, with the album available for purchase at the venue.

LaChanze won the 2006 Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical for The Color Purple. Her other Broadway credits include If/Then, Once on This Island (Tony and Drama Desk nominations), Ragtime, Company, and Uptown It's Hot. She starred off-Broadway in Dessa Rose, The Bubbly Black Girl Sheds Her Chameleon Skin, and Inked Baby.

Feeling Good debuted in 2014 at Joe's Pub and had its official world premiere at the Kennedy Center in 2015. The February 27 concert is presented in anticipation of an upcoming tour.
