Emerson Steele Will Sing Beyond Her Years in Her Solo-Show Debut This Fall

Teenage Broadway star Emerson Steele makes her solo debut at 54 Below on Wednesday, October 14. The show, titled Roles I Can’t Play Now … Or Ever … Except Tonight!, will feature a bill of tunes from roles Steele "has always wanted to play – and some she hopes to play in the future!" Ilana Ransom-Toeplitz directs, with musical direction by Sonny Paladino.
Steele made her Broadway debut in 2014 opposite Sutton Foster as her young counterpart in the Roundabout Theatre Company production of Violet, which earned the newcomer a Theatre World Award. She later performed the role of Mary Phagan in the Lincoln Center presentation of Jason Robert Brown's Parade.
Joining Steele for her solo performance will be Tony honoree and one of Broadway's original Matildas, Sophia Gennusa; Orange Is the New Black star and Steele's former Violet castmate Annie Golden; Derek Klena (Wicked, The Bridges of Madison County); and Charlie Pollock (Violet). Additional guests will be announced in the coming weeks.
