Disney Theatrical Productions and Stage Entertainment have announced that the European premiere and second international production of Disney’s Aladdin will be based at the Stage Theatre Neue Flora in Hamburg, Germany. Performances are set to begin fall 2015.

"We are delighted to bring the next smash-hit musical from Disney to Germany in addition to the enormously successful productions of The Lion King and Tarzan," said Uschi Neuss, the managing director of Stage Entertainment Germany. "Hamburg, with its reputation as Germany’s musical-capital, is the perfect city to host the European premiere."

Based on the 1992 Disney animated film, Aladdin opened at Broadway's New Amsterdam Theatre on March 20, 2014. The production currently stars Adam Jacobs as Aladdin, Courtney Reed as Jasmine, and Tony Award winner James Monroe Iglehart as the Genie.
