David Binder to Join the London International Festival of Theatre as Artistic Associate

Producer David Binder will join the London International Festival of Theatre as an artistic associate. David will work with LIFT to develop international projects and collaborations to be part of future festivals.

Binder is a Tony Award-winning producer of shows such as Hedwig and the Angry Inch, currently starring Michael C. Hall, and Of Mice and Men, which starred James Franco and Chris O’Dowd. Binder’s festival work includes The High Line Festival, curated by David Bowie, and the Dutch New Island Festival on New York’s Governors Island. His TED talk "The Arts Festival Revolution" was chosen by The Guardian as one of the best talks on theater on the Web.

He collaborated with LIFT this past summer to produce Deblozay by the French company Rara Woulib. The show was an immersive procession inspired by Haitian funeral marches through the backstreets of Greenwich and Deptford in London.
