Danny Strong to Author Book for Frank Sinatra Musical

Producers of the Frank Sinatra musical have enlisted Emmy Award winner Danny Strong to pen the book for the upcoming production. The new musical, which is planned to open in early 2020, will feature many of Sinatra’s timeless hit songs from his renowned career catalogue.

Strong said of the opportunity: "It is an honor to get to write a musical about one of the biggest icons of the 20th century. Sinatra is one of the great talents of all time and his fascinating and powerful story will make for a terrific stage musical."

Danny Strong’s writing credits include Game Change, The Butler, Recount, and the latter half of The Hunger Games franchise's blockbuster films. He is also the cocreator of the musical drama series Empire.

Alongside Ambassador Theatre Group, Stewart Till, Frank Sinatra Enterprises, and Edward Walson, Sinatra The Musical will be executive-produced by Larry Manetti.
