Alli Mauzey and More Set for the York's The Musical of Musicals (The Concert!)

The York Theatre Company has announced casting for its upcoming gala, The Musical of Musicals (The Concert!), a celebration of the 15th anniversary of off-Broadway's The Musical of Musicals (The Musical!). The concert will play one night only on April 9 at the York Theatre Company at Saint Peter’s.
The Musical of Musicals (The Musical!) features music by Eric Rockwell, lyrics by Joanne Bogart, and book by Eric Rockwell and Joanne Bogart. Director Pamela Hunt returns to re-create her original staging for this festive occasion, with veteran Musicals of Musicals music director Rich Silverstein.
The cast will feature Rachel de Benedet (Berlin to Broadway…), George Dvorsky (Closer Than Ever), Alli Mauzey (Wicked), Gerry McIntyre (Subways Are for Sleeping), Conor Ryan (Desperate Measures), Peter Saide (Desperate Measures), and Stephanie Umoh (Hallelujah, Baby!''). Additional casting will be announced shortly.
Described as a "joyous homage to musical theater" The Musical of Musicals (The Musical!) began its journey at the York in 2003. The show pays loving tongue-in-cheek tribute to Rodgers and Hammerstein, Stephen Sondheim, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Jerry Herman, and Kander and Ebb. The plot follows an innocent ingenue who is threatened by her evil landlord when she can't pay her rent.
