Broadway Favorite Rosie Perez to Join TV's The View as Cohost

Broadway veteran Rosie Perez has been announced to join ABC talkshow The View as a cohost when the show returns on September 15. Political commentator Nicolle Wallace will also join the cast on the same date.
The two women will replace Jenny McCarthy and Sherri Shepherd, who will soon make her Broadway debut as Madame, the Wicked Stepmother in Cinderella. The View is currently cohosted by Broadway supporters Rosie O’Donnell and Whoopi Goldberg.
Perez's Broadway credits include Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune, The Play What I Wrote, Reckless, and The Ritz. She received a 2001 Theatre World Award for her off-Broadway role in References to Salvador Dali Make Me Hot. She is set to appear in Broadway's 2015 premiere of Larry David's Fish in the Dark by along with Larry David, Jerry Adler, Jake Cannavale, Jayne Houdyshell, and Jonny Orsini.
