The fifth annual Broadway Belts for PFF! was held at Birdland Jazz Club on February 23. The show was hosted by Julie Halston, spokesperson for the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, and raised more than $150,000 for that organization.

Directed by Carl Andress, the evening featured performances by a number of Broadway stars including Tony nominee Santino Fontana (Cinderella), Julia Murney (Wicked), Tony Award winner Randy Graff (City of Angels), Tony nominee Annaleigh Ashford (You Can't Take it With You), Erich Bergen (Madame Secretary), Robert Creighton (The Mystery of Edwin Drood), Betsy Wolfe (Bullets Over Broadway), and Zakiya Young (The Little Mermaid). Christopher McGovern served as musical director.

Proceeds from the concert benefited the Michael Kuchwara Fund for Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis Research, Education, and Advocacy. The fund honors the late Associated Press theater critic and reporter who died in May 2010 due to idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). To date, the concerts have raised more than $388,000.

Halston is a spokeswoman and activist for pulmonary fibrosis, along with her husband, former Howard Stern Show news anchor Ralph Howard, who was diagnosed with the disease in 2008.
