Chicago's Brent Barrett to Debut Kander & Ebb Cabaret at the Metropolitan Room

The Broadway regular recently ended his run in the long-running musical.

This November, Olivier Award nominee and Broadway alum Brent Barrett will debut his new cabaret act, Life Is: The Songs of Kander & Ebb, at New York City's Metropolitan Room. The stage regular will offer three performances only November 10, 12, and 13. Before his Manhattan engagement, Barrett will preview Life Is at Club Helinski in Hudson, New York, on Sunday, November 9, at 7 p.m., as part of the Helinski on Broadway Sunday Series.

Barrett recently concluded a run as Billy Flynn in Chicago, a role he has assumed several times over the past decade throughout the show's extended run. His Broadway credits also include West Side Story, Dance a Little Closer, Grand Hotel, Candide, and Annie Get Your Gun opposite Reba McEntire. He additionally received an Olivier Award nomination in 2001 for his starring role in the London premiere of the Tony-winning Broadway revival of Kiss Me, Kate.

His cabaret performance will feature direction by Barry Kleinbort and musical direction by Christopher Denny.
