Snow White Remake to Feature Music by Dear Evan Hansen's Benj Pasek and Justin Paul

Disney has plans in the works for a new live-action adaptation of the classic animated film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The film, which is to be penned by The Girl on the Train screenwriter Erin Cressida Wilson, will also feature new songs by Tony nominees Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (Dear Evan Hansen). Broadway producer Marc Platt is attached to produce, a role he's also taking on for Disney's upcoming Mary Poppins Returns.
The new project comes on the heels of several Disney live-action successes, including Maleficent and Cinderella, along with the upcoming Beauty and the Beast film, set for a March 2017 release. Disney also has new adaptations of The Little Mermaid and Mulan in the works.
Based on the Brothers Grimm fairytale, Snow White premiered in 1937. The movie, Disney's first animated feature film, was awarded an honorary Oscar at the 11th Academy Awards.
