Broadway’s “greatest star” can now take her place on your Christmas tree.

Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS has announced that a Christmas tree ornament with the likeness of Oscar winner and Broadway legend Barbra Streisand will be the 2015 addition to its Broadway Legends holiday collection. The Streisand ornament is the eighth in the collection. Previous years have featured stage icons Julie Andrews, Carol Channing, Angela Lansbury, Liza Minnelli, Bernadette Peters, Chita Rivera, and Gwen Verdon.

The Barbra Streisand Broadway Legends ornament features the actress as Fanny Brice in her signature red, white, and blue sailor costume from Funny Girl. Streisand starred as Fanny Brice in the 1964 Broadway production, earning a Tony Award nomination, and later earned an Academy Award (sharing it with Katharine Hepburn) for her performance in the 1968 film adaptation.

"Barbra Streisand is, simply, a legend, our ‘greatest star’ and Broadway’s all-time greatest export," said Tom Viola, executive director of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. "Not only is she an extraordinary actress, director, singer, writer, composer, producer, designer, author and photographer, Barbra Streisand is a champion for the most vulnerable among us. She’s long been a generous and true friend to Broadway Cares and we’re delighted to welcome her to the Broadway Legends collection of stars known by their first names."
