Atlantic Theater Company will kick off its new Amplified reading series with Max Posner's Gun Logistics on November 4th at the Linda Gross Theater. The reading will be directed by Oliver Butler and will feature actors Paul Thureen and Birgit Huppuch.

The Amplified series, inspired by past projects such as Next Page and Latino Mixfest, will be curated by Director of New Play Development Abigail Katz. The series will present six new plays throughout the season with an expanded rehearsal process.

In addition, the Atlantic is announcing its new Launch Commissioning Program. The program will be available to early-career playwrights who have not yet had an off-Broadway production and have fewer than three commissions from mid- to large-size theater companies. 2014-15's inaugural playwrights are Dennis A. Allen II and Amy E. Witting.
