Broadway veterans Anne L. Nathan and Kate Wetherhead will lead a musical theater audition workshop on Sunday, January 25, at Studio 353. Titled How to Feel Good About Your Audition, the workshop is described as "a fun and dynamic musical theater workshop taught by two professionals who understand rejection as much as they understand success."

The two actresses draw from their years of experience in the world of musical theater to shed light on what goes on in the audition room from the perspective of both the performer and the people sitting behind the table. "Auditioning is scary," says Wetherhead. "But it doesn’t have to be. You just need to focus on what you can control — your behavior and performance in the room. Beyond that, everything is out of your hands."

Wetherhead has appeared on Broadway in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and Legally Blonde, and she earned a Drama Desk nomination for her 2013 performance in the off-Broadway musical The Other Josh Cohen.

Nathan's Broadway credits include Chicago, Ragtime, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Assassins, Sunday in the Park With George. On Sunday, she concluded her nearly three-year run in Broadway's Once. She will return to Broadway this spring in the new musical comedy It Shoulda Been You.

The workshop fee is $100, or $30 to audit. E-mail akclassso@gmail.com to secure a spot.
