Andrea Martin will return to Broadway's Pippin in the role of Berthe, for which she won 2013 Tony, Drama Desk, and Outer Critics Circle Awards, beginning tonight, September 2. The actress will play the role at the Music Box Theater through September 21 before joining the L.A. premiere of the Pippin national tour. Martin will perform with the touring production at the Hollywood Pantages from October 21-November 9.

Los Angeles will be the tour's second stop, following a San Francisco engagement from September 23-October 19 at the SHN Golden Gate Theatre where the role of Berthe will be played by Drama Desk Award nominee Lucie Arnaz, daughter of the late comic actors Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz. The touring cast will also feature Sasha Allen (Broadway's Hair, a finalist on the fourth season on NBC's The Voice) as Leading Player, Kyle Selig (The Book of Mormon) as Pippin, Tony Award winner John Rubinstein (who created the role of Pippin in the original 1972 Broadway production) as Charles, original Broadway cast member Sabrina Harper as Fastrada, and Kristine Reese (Wicked) as Catherine.

The Tony-winning current Broadway revival of Stephen Schwartz and Roger O. Hirson's classic coming-of-age musical features the death-defying tricks of a contemporary circus with choreography by Chet Walker in the style of Bob Fosse, and circus creations by Gypsy Snider of the circus troupe Les 7 doigts de la main.
