The McKittrick Hotel, home of the immersive theater production Sleep No More, has announced a summertime rooftop film series that will be curated by film and television icon and comedian Amy Poehler. The festival will begin on July 14 with The Jerk and continue through the summer and early fall atop the McKittrick.

For the festival, Poehler has chosen some of her favorite films from a variety of genres and decades. The selections will be presented in a private garden space called the Farm, an extension of the rooftop garden bar and restaurant Gallow Green. There is seating up to 30 audience members per screening, and each ticket comes complete with popcorn, a specialty cocktail, and a breathtaking view of Manhattan. Every film selected for the series will be screened multiple times over the course of a week.

The schedule for the series is as follows:

The Jerk (Carl Reiner, 1979) — July 14-20

Rushmore (Wes Anderson, 1998) — July 21-27

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (Mel Stuart, 1971) — July 28-August 3

The Bicycle Thief (Vittorio De Sica, 1948) — August 4-10

Bonjour Tristesse (Otto Preminger, 1958) — August 11-17

To Kill a Mockinbird (Robert Mulligan, 1982) — August 18-24

Sixteen Candles (John Hughes, 1984) — August 25-31

West Side Story (Robert Wise and Jerome Robbins, 1961) — September 1-7

The Apartment (Billy Wilder, 1960) — September 8-14

Hannah and Her Sisters (Woody Allen, 1986) — September 15-21

Rosemary's Baby (Roman Polanski, 1968) — September 22-28

Amy Poehler is known for her Emmy-nominated work on Saturday Night Live from 2001-2008. She also recently wrapped seven seasons of the popular NBC sitcom Parks and Recreation, for which she received multiple Emmy nominations for acting, writing, and producing. She can currently be heard as the voice of Joy in the critically acclaimed smash Pixar film Inside Out.

Created by U.K.-based Punchdrunk and produced in New York by EMURSIVE, Sleep No More tells Shakespeare’s classic tragedy Macbeth through a noir-inspired cinematic staging.
