Al Pacino will return to Broadway in the fall of 2015, starring in China Doll, a brand new play by prolific dramatist David Mamet.

Pam MacKinnon, who helms the forthcoming revivals of A Delicate Balance and The Heidi Chronicles, will direct the two-character play. China Doll follows billionaire Mickey Ross (Pacino), who just bought an airplane for his young fiancee and is preparing for semiretirement. The other character is Carson, Mickey Ross' assistant.

Pacino last appeared on Broadway in Mamet's Glengarry Glen Ross and has also starred in Mamet's American Buffalo. China Doll will be produced by Jeffrey Richards, Jerry Frankel, and Steve Traxler.

Dates, theater, and additional casting for China Doll will be revealed in the future.
