Off-Broadway's Amas Musical Theatre will honor Tony Award-winning collaborators Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty with the Rosie Award at its annual gala on Monday, April 3, at Baruch Performing Arts Center. Chita Rivera will serve as honorary chair of the event, which journalist Peter Filichia will host.

The gala evening will feature performances by students from Amas' education program, the Rosetta LeNoire Musical Theatre Academy, followed by a concert titled The Flip Side: Unknown Musical Gems of Ahrens and Flaherty. It will be directed by Jonathan Cerullo and feature cast members from Ahrens and Flaherty's many Broadway and off-Broadway shows.

Ahrens and Flaherty are the writers of the musicals Once on This Island, Rocky, Ragtime, My Favorite Year, Lucky Stiff, A Man of No Importance, Dessa Rose, The Glorious Ones, Little Dancer, and the upcoming Broadway production of Anastasia.
