New York City Center announced today that Aasif Mandvi will join the cast of its previously announced upcoming Encores! concert staging of Brigadoon.

Mandvi will take on the role of Jeff Douglas, who accompanies his friend Tommy Albright (Patrick Wilson) on a hunting trip across the Scottish Highlands where they stumble on the town of Brigadoon. Tony Award winner Kelli O’Hara will appear as Fiona MacLaren, the woman who steals Tommy’s heart, with Tony nominee Robert Fairchild (An American in Paris) as Harry Beaton.

Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe's musical will be directed and choreographed by Christopher Wheeldon (An American in Paris), with Rob Berman leading the Encores! orchestra.

The first performance of Brigadoon will be held on November 15 as part of New York City Center's annual gala, honoring City Center board cochair and Broadway producer Stacey Mindich. An additional five performances will be held November 16-19. Funds raised at all six performances of Brigadoon will subsidize affordable tickets throughout the year to programs such as Fall for Dance and Encores! Off-Center.
