The 69th Annual Tony Awards Sets Date for June 2015 Ceremony

Nominations will be announced in late April.

The 69th Annual Tony Awards has announced that the ceremony will be Broadcast live on CBS on Sunday, June 7, 2015, according to reports. The event will air at 8pm.

The Tony Awards, which honors theater professionals for achievement on Broadway, has been broadcast on CBS since 1978. The Tony Awards is presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing.

The nominations for the 2015 Tony Awards will be announced live on Tuesday, April 28, from New York.

The 2014 Tony Awards ceremony was hosted by Broadway and Hollywood favorite Hugh Jackman on June 8 from Radio City Music Hall. The 2013 Tony Awards, hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, received three Primetime Emmy Awards.

A limited number of tickets to the 2015 Tony Awards will be made available for purchase. Tickets will go on sale beginning April 29, 2015.
