The 26th annual Gypsy of the Year competition will offer two performances, December 8 at 4:30pm and December 9 at 2pm, at the New Amsterdam Theatre, home of Broadway's Aladdin. The event is produced by and benefits Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Gypsy of the Year is an annual tradition honoring the work of the theater's ensemble singers and dancers, commonly referred to as "gypsies." Throughout the two days of performances, 200 New York City gypsies and their special guests will perform original skits, songs, and dances. Awards will be presented to the top fundraisers, as well as to the artist with the best presentation.

Broadway personality and host of SiriusXM Satellite Radio's "On Broadway" channel Seth Rudetsky will return for the seventh year to host.

The past 25 editions of Gypsy of the Year have raised more than $57.2 million, with last year's 51 participating shows raising a total of $4,343,234.
