The Producers of Riverdance Bring Heartbeat of Home to North America

The show features an eclectic blend of musical styles and dance, from Irish to Latin.

The director and producers of Riverdance have announced the upcoming tour of their new dance extravagannza, Heartbeat of Home. Having premiered in Ireland and China, the show will now tour North America, making stops in Toronto, Chicago, Detroit, and Boston from January through March before moving on to New York and Los Angeles. Dates for the last two cities have yet to be announced.

Heartbeat of Home features dynamic, vibrant components of traditional Irish, Latin, and Afro-Cuban music and dance written by award-winning composer Brian Byrne. The high-energy production also features high-definition, cutting-edge projection technology.

The creative team includes John Carey (Irish dance choreography), Alan Farquharson (set design), David Torpey/Image Now (projection design), Peter Canning (lighting design), Ciaran Byrne (sound design), Monica Ennis and Niamh O’Connor (costumes styling), and Padraic Moyles (assistant direction). The show is produced by Moya Doherty and conceived and directed by John McColgan. Heartbeat of Home features lyrics and narrative by award-winning Irish writer Joseph O'Connor.
