Producers Michael Alden, Stefany Bergson, and Rodger Hess have announced that Becoming Dr. Ruth, a one-woman comedy about the life of famed sex therapist Dr. Ruth Westheimer, will play its final off-Broadway performance December 22 at the Westside Theatre. The show is penned by Mark. St. Germain and directed by Julianne Boyd.

The production began its off-Broadway run October 29 and stars actress Debra Jo Rupp, best known for her long-standing role on the Fox sitcom That ’70s Show. During the final weeks of performances, Dr. Ruth herself will host a series of talkbacks, scheduled to take place following the 8pm performance on December 7 and the 7pm performances on December 12 and 18, where audience members will have the opportunity to ask the doctor some questions of their own.
