Louis Butelli and Christopher Tierney will step into Jon Fosse's I Am the Wind at 59E59 Theaters, producers have announced. The pair replaces the previously announced James Patrick Nelson and Jonathan Tindle in the drama, which begins previews January 9 and runs through January 26.
Butelli's stage credits include Sleep No More and Cyclops: A Rock Opera. Tierney appeared as the main stunt double in Broadway's Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark and famously broke several bones after a 2010 rigging accident. Despite his serious injuries, he returned to the show only four months later.
Directed by Paul Takacs and featuring an adaptation by Simon Stephens, I Am the Wind tells the story of two men who confront their bond of friendship while sailing at sea.
The creative team includes Steven C. Kemp (set design), Nick Solyom (lighting design), Amanda Shafran (costume design), and Palmer Hefferan (sound design).
