Off-Broadway's Erotic Nutcracker Rouge Extends Run

You have one more week to see the new production at the Minetta Lane Theatre.

Nutcracker Rouge will extend its run at the Minetta Lane Theatre off-Broadway by one week, through January 12. The production began its run on November 30.

Conceived, directed, and choreographed by Austin McCormick, with a script adapted by Jeff Takacs, Nutcracker Rouge reimagines the classic Nutcracker story through the art of burlesque, eroticism, theater, dance, and circus.

The cast includes Laura Careless as Marie-Claire, Jeff Takacs as Monsieur Drosselmeyer, Shelly Watson as Madame Drosselmeyer, circus artists Cassady Rose Bonjo, Courtney Giannone, and Nicolas Maffey, and dancers Marisol Cabrera, Katrina Cunningham, Molly Griffin, Alexander Hille, Jakob Karr, Nicholas Katen, Kana Kimura, Tyler Phillips, Davon Rainey, and Allison Ulrich.

Featured on the creative team are Zane Pihlstrom (set and costume design), Jeanette Yew (lighting design), Austin McCormick (sound design), and John Starmer and Michael Givey (technical directors).
