Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812 Extends Limited Engagement

Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812 will extend its limited engagement through Sunday, January 19. The production was slated to close Sunday, January 5, but due to popular demand, was extended two weeks past its original closing date.
Based on Leo Tolstoy’s War and Peace, Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812 is an electro-pop opera that follows Natasha Rostova, who arrives in Moscow, Russia. As she awaits the arrival of her fiancé from the frontlines, she falls under the spell of the city’s most charming rouge, and it’s up to her fiancé, Pierre, to pick up the pieces of her reputation.
The immersive production began at Ars Nova in the fall of 2012 and later moved to a specially created venue called Kazino in the meatpacking district. After critical acclaim, producers decided to transfer the production and its custom venue to a tent located on 45th Street in the theater district.
