Atlantic Theater Company has announced a one-week extension of The Night Alive, now receiving its American Premiere at the Linda Gross Theater. Originally scheduled to close on January 26, 2014, the production will now run through February 2.

Written and directed by Tony nominee Conor McPherson, The Night Alive premiered at London's Donmar Warehouse earlier this year to widespread acclaim. The play follows Tommy, a man renting a room in his Uncle Maurice's house, going from one get-rich-quick scheme to the next. When Tommy comes to the aid of Aimee, the potential to make something more of their lives starts to glimmer. The production currently stars Tony nominee Ciarán Hinds (Cat on a Hot Tin Roof) and Tony winner Jim Norton (The Mystery of Edwin Drood), along with Michael McElhatton, Caoilfhionn Dunne, and Brian Gleeson.
