Maurice Hines, Maureen McGovern, Donna McKechnie, Dee Snider Preview Upcoming 54 Below Shows

Catch the Broadway veterans in performance at the nightclub in the coming weeks.

Broadway veterans Maurice Hines (Sophisticated Ladies), Maureen McGovern (Little Women), Tony Award winner Donna McKechnie (A Chorus Line), and Dee Snider (Rock of Ages) took to the stage at 54 Below on Monday, December 17 to offer previews of their upcoming concerts at the midtown venue.

Hines, whose stage credits also include Eubie, Hot Feet, and a national tour of Guys and Dolls, performed the songs “I’ve Never Been in Love Before,” and “Luck Be a Lady” from his upcoming show, which runs December 26-28. McGovern, whose concert Home for the Holidays, plays December 18-23, then took the stage to offer a poignant rendition of her hit song “The Morning After,” in remembrance of the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. In lieu of singing, Twisted Sister front man Snider, who graced the stage with some of his trademark moves, showed a music video of his single, “Mack the Knife.” His concert, Dee Does Broadway and Holiday Favorites, takes place on December 20 and 21. Finally, McKechnie offered some words about her still-to-be-written act, Same Place: Another Time, which will run January 2-6.
