Playwrights Horizons held its final off-Broadway opening of 2012 with Amy Herzog's The Great God Pan on Tuesday, December 18. Following the performance, the cast and guests headed to Heartland Brewery to celebrate. Carolyn Cantor directs the new play, which runs through January 13.

Jeremy Strong (The Coward) leads the cast as Jamie, a New York-based journalist whose seemingly perfect life is thrown into a tailspin with the revelation of a potential childhood trauma. The company also includes Becky Ann Baker (Assassins), Peter Friedman (Circle Mirror Transformation), Sarah Goldberg (Clybourne Park), Keith Nobbs (Lombardi), Joyce Van Patten (Brighton Beach Memoirs), and Erin Wilhelmi (off-Broadway debut).

Guests at the performance included Academy Award nominee Amy Ryan (Detroit), Tony Award winners Shuler Hensley (The Whale) and Mary Louise Wilson (Grey Gardens), Tony Award nominees Dylan Baker (November), Kerry Butler (Xanadu), and Lois Smith (The Trip to Bountiful), Talia Balsam (Homeland), Crystal A. Dickinson (Clybourne Park), Sam Gold (Picnic), Ari Graynor (The Performers), Jason Butler Harner (Cock), Deirdre O'Connell (The Vandal), Katharine Powell (After The Revolution), Cory Michael Smith (The Whale), and Christopher Evan Welch (The Pain and the Itch).

The design team includes Mark Wendland (scenic design), Kaye Voyce (costume design), Japhy Weideman (lighting design), and Darron L West (sound design).
