JONATHAN GROFF IS WORKING AGAIN!

And, to blow your mind even more, he’s joining (vocal) forces with Idina Menzel and Kristen Bell!

Tony Award nominee Jonathan Groff (Spring Awakening) will join previously announced stars, Tony Award winner Idina Menzel (Wicked) and stage and film star Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars) in voicing Walt Disney Animation Studios’ upcoming comedy-adventure Frozen, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The film, set for release on November 27, 2013, is being directed by Chris Buck. It will feature a screenplay by Jennifer Lee and original songs by Tony Award winner Robert Lopez and his wife, Drama Desk Award winner, Kristen Anderson-Lopez.

The movie, which is loosely based on The Snow Queen by Hans Christian Andersen, features Bell as Anna, a young girl who ventures to find her sister, Elsa the Snow Queen (to be voiced by Menzel) and end the perpetual winter that has fallen over their mythical kingdom. Groff will play Kristoff, a mountain man who helps Anna on her journey.

Groff received a Tony nomination for his role as Melchior in Spring Awakening. He has also appeared on stage in The Submission, In My Life, and Red. His film and television credits include Taking Woodstock, Glee, and The Good Wife. Menzel won the Tony for Wicked and her stage credits include Rent and Aida. She has also appeared on Glee and Private Practice. In addition to starring on TV’s Veronica Mars, Bell’s stage credits include The Crucible and The Adventures of Tom Sawyer.
