Jessica Chastain, Jake Gyllenhaal Among Stars to Participate in 12-12-12 Telethon

Hollywood and music stars will come together on December 12 to help victims of Hurricane Sandy.

Hollywood’s biggest names are joining music’s greatest talents to help the victims of Hurricane Sandy.

Current theater stars Jessica Chastain (The Heiress) and Jake Gyllenhaal (If There Is, I Haven’t Found It Yet) and Tony Award winner Billy Crystal (700 Sundays) will be among the many celebrities who will participate in a telethon during the live telecast of 12-12-12, a benefit concert for the Robin Hood Relief Fund to support victims of Hurricane Sandy, which will be presented at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday, December 12.

The concert will feature the musical talents of Bon Jovi, Eric Clapton, Dave Grohl, Billy Joel, Alicia Keys, Chris Martin, The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, Eddie Vedder, Roger Waters, Kanye West, The Who, and Paul McCartney.

Steve Buscemi, Chelsea Clinton, Sean Combs, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jimmy Fallon, Karlie Kloss, Seth Meyers, Bobby Moynihan, Chris Rock, Adam Sandler, Susan Sarandon, Jon Stewart, Kristen Stewart, Quentin Tarantino, and Brian Williams will also take part in the event.

Beginning at 7:30pm, a phone bank will be set up where both musical artists and celebrity participants will take donations via phone over the course of the evening. The concert will be distributed worldwide to nearly two billion people through television feeds, radio, and online streaming. It will also air in conjunction with the NBA’s television and online streaming broadcasts in China and will be simulcast live on Clear Channel Outdoor digital billboards in Times Square, along with locations in London and Paris.
