Amandine was inspired by the memoirs of Herculine Barbin. It features book and lyrics by Winter Miller (In Darfur) and music and lyrics by Emmy Award-winning composer Lance Horne (Songs From an Unmade Bed). Drama Desk Award winning director Josh Hecht (Out of Iceland) helms the production.
Glick leads an ensemble cast of Nathan Lee Graham (Priscilla, Queen of the Desert), Tony Award winner Tonya Pinkins (Caroline, or Change), Alexandra Silber (Master Class), Natalie Joy Johnson (Legally Blonde), and downtown cabaret favorite Our Lady J (who is also the music director). The actors all play multiple roles of both genders. Jazz singer Lea DeLaria (Edge of Seventeen) was previously announced in the cast, but withdrew due to scheduling conflicts.
