The Living Theatre Announces Cast For Judith Malina’s The History of the World

The Living Theatre has announced casting for the world premiere of Judith Malina’s The History of the World, to run December 31-February 25, with an opening on January 12. Malina will direct and also appear in the production.

In the piece, the audience will be participants in the action. The theme of the play becomes the personal involvement of each spectator/participant in history, contemplating the questions: Who are you in history? In the execution of Socrates? In the crucifixion of Jesus? And finally: Who are you in the Beautiful Non-Violent Anarchist Revolution yet to come?

The play will co-star an international ensemble of actors, singers, dancers and musicians, including Anna Agostino, Brent Barker, Soraya Broukhim, Brad Burgess, Sheila Dabney, Jay Dobkin, Erin Downhour, John Gasper, Jen Emma Hertel, Ana Holly, Monica Hunken, Homa Hynes, Rose Lovell, Martin Lutz, Mary Round, Miranda Rovetto, Kyle Ryan, Tom Walker, Antwan Ward, and Kennedy Yanko.
