Natalie Douglas, Anita Gillette to Play Birdland in January

Two new concerts have been added to the “Broadway at Birdland “concert series

On Monday, January 16 at 7pm, MAC Award winner Natalie Douglas will present The Birthday Show, which will celebrate the singer’s birthday and focus on her musical influences, which include The Eagles, Dr. Nina Simone, Barbra Streisand, Dolly Parton, The Carpenters, Blossom Dearie, Ray Charles, Lena Horne, Judy Garland, Alice Faye, Fred Astaire, Phyllis Hyman, Nancy Wilson and more. Mark Hartman serves as musical director.

On Monday, January 30 at 7pm, Tony Award nominee Anita Gillette will present her new autobiographical one-woman show After All. The show will take audiences backstage with Gillette as a young showgirl starting out in the original cast of Gypsy through her five-decade long career, which includes her work on Broadway in such shows as Carnival and Chapter Two, in films such as Moonstruck, and on TV’s 30 Rock.
