Kerry Butler, Andrew Rannells, et al. Set for Transport Group’s Gimme a Break! Benefit

Kerry Butler, Jackie Hoffman, Andrew Rannells, Andrew Samonsky, Alexandra Silber and Mary Testa will perform at the Transport Group’s 2011 Gimme A Break!, to be held on Monday, December 5 at 6:30pm, at the Asia Society and Museum. Julie Halston will host the event.

In addition to the entertainment, the evening will feature the presentation of the Transporting American Theatre Award to playwright Douglas Carter Beane and composer/lyricist Lewis Flinn, co-creators of Lysistrata Jones, which the theater premiered earlier this year and which is now in previews at the Walter Kerr Theatre on Broadway. The honor recognizes the pair’s outstanding contributions to American theater.
