Julie Andrews to Serve as Special Guest Host for A Tribute to Horowitz

Screen and stage star Julie Andrews will serve as special guest host for Lola Astanova’s concert, A Tribute to Horowitz, to be held at Carnegie Hall on Thursday, January 19 at 8pm. The event will be a benefit for the American Cancer Society.

Astanova’s program will consist of works by Chopin, Scriabin and Rachmaninov, all performed on the legendary Horowitz Steinway,built in 1941, acquired by Vladimir Horowitz in 1943 and used by him for over 40 years.

Andrews’ Broadway credits include My Fair Lady, Camelot, The Boy Friend, and Victor/Victoria. She won the Academy Award for Mary Poppins, and her many films include The Sound of Music, Darling Lili, Star! and S.O.B..
