Jennifer Ehle, Victor Garber, Mamie Gummer, Hamish Linklater, et al. Set for Red Bull Readings

Updated information has been announced for upcoming presentations in Red Bull Theater’s Revelation Readings series, which offers one-night-only performances of both neglected classics and new plays of heightened language and classical themes.

Jesse Berger will direct Laurie Birmingham, Jarlath Conroy, Adam Green, David Greenspan, Marsha Mason, Derek Smith, Henry Stram, and Stephen Spinella in Nikolai Gogol’s The Government Inspector, as adapted by Jeffrey Hatcher, on Monday, December 26, at 7:30pm at the Theatre at St. Clements.

Tony Award winner Jack O’Brien will direct Richard Easton, Jennifer Ehle, Victor Garber, Mamie Gummer, Hamish Linklater, Patrick Page, and Michael Stuhlbarg in Pirandello’s Henry IV, in a new version by Tom Stoppard, on Monday, January 9, at 7:30pm at Playwrights Horizons Mainstage Theatre.


In related news, Red Bull is also offering a Classical Acting Weekend Intensive, January 28-29, featuring voice, movement, and stage combat, taught alongside rigorous text analysis and beat work in classical text. Instructors include Tracy Bersley, Patrick Page, and Rick Sordelet.
