Jeanette Bayardelle Brings Solo Musical to Ars Nova
Ars Nova will present Shida, a new solo musical written and performed by theater actress and singer Jeanette Bayardelle. Performances are December 2, 3 and 6. Andy Sandberg will direct, with musical direction by Clay Bogan III.
The show tells the story of a girl from the Bronx who beats the odds. The score will reflect a fusion of rock, jazz, blues and gospel. The piece was developed as part of Ars Nova’s Project Residency initiative.
