Ellen Barkin, Bobby Cannavale to Guest Star on ABC’s Modern Family

Tony Award winner Ellen Barkin and Tony Award nominee and Emmy Award winner Bobby Cannavale will guest star on ABC’s Modern Family in 2012, according to a report on TVLine.com.
Barkin will play a tough real estate broker who becomes a main adversary to Ty Burrell’s character, Phil, while Cannavale will play the former clown partner of Cameron, played by Eric Stonestreet.
Barkin won a Tony Award for her performance in The Normal Heart earlier this year. Among her many film credits are Sea of Love, Switch, The Big Easy, and Desert Bloom. In addition, she received an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe nomination for her work in Before Women Had Wings.
Cannavale received a Tony nomination last season for The Motherf**ker With the Hat. His many stage credits include Mauritius and The Gingerbread House. He received an Emmy for his work on Will & Grace and will co-star in the upcoming season of Showtime’s Nurse Jackie.
