Theater veterans Aaron Carter, Taylor Dayne, Joey Fatone, Cheech Marin, and Lou Diamond Phillips will be contestants on The Food Network’s Rachael vs. Guy Celebrity Cook-Off, to premiere on January 1.

In this six-episode show, Emmy-winning talk show host Rachael Ray and best-selling cookbook author Guy Fieri will lead celebrity teams of amateur cooks in weekly culinary challenges. Winning and losing teams will be chosen by guest diners, with one member from the losing team sent home each week. The last celebrity standing at the end of the season will win a cash donation to his or her favorite charity.

Carter is currently appearing Off-Broadway in The Fantasticks, and is a multi-platinum-selling recording artist. Dayne played Amneris in the Broadway production of Aida, and is a chart-topping recording star. Fatone has appeared on Broadway in Little Shop of Horrors and Rent, and is a founding member of the band ‘N Sync. Marin directed Latinologues on Broadway, and is a well-known, Grammy-winning comedian. Phillips received a Tony nomination for his performance in The King and I, and is a popular stage and screen actor.

Contestants will also include Miss USA 2011 Alyssa Campanella, Grammy-winning hip-hop artist Coolio, and Olympic gold medalist Summer Sanders.
