A new mini-museum on the history of Times Square will open at the newly renovated Times Square Visitor Center Monday, December 6.

The newly renovated $1.1 million Times Square Visitor Center currently houses the New Year’s Eve Centennial Ball, among other items. At the facility, tourists and New Yorkers can buy tickets to Broadway shows and tours of the city, in addition to getting information on New York City’s many attractions.

Among the notables scheduled to participate in the opening of the center on December 6 are actress Andrea McArdle, Broadway League executive director Charlotte St. Martin; Katherine Oliver, commission of the NYC Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment; George Fertitta, CEO of NYC and Company; NYC Landmarks Commission chair Bob Tierney, Times Square Alliance president Tim Tompkins; and Times Square Alliance chair Bob Wankel.
