Academy Award nominee Robert Downey Jr. will work on a new musical with Brian Yorkey and Tom Kitt, who won the Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize for Next to Normal, according to published reports.

Downey will co-produce the piece, as well as possibly star in it. The work focuses on two Broadway songwriters who find themselves creatively and financially bankrupt when their big-break musical flops, and then take jobs as counselors at the theater camp they attended as kids and hatch a plan for a big comeback.

Downey's films include Chaplin, Iron Man, Sherlock Holmes, and Due Date.
