The event raised more than $600 for the Shannon Tavarez Foundation, named in honor of the 11-year-old performer who played Young Nala in Broadway's The Lion King. The charity was established by Tavarez's family following Shannon's recent death from acute myeloid leukemia.
Among the youthful performers who participated in the benefit were Alex Ko, who stars in the title role of Broadway's Billy Elliot the Musical, Vikki Eugenis, Matthew Lobenhofer, Gabby Malek, and Emily Robinson.
