Glenn Davis, Brad Fleischer, Hrach Titizian, Sheila Vand, Necar Zadegan, and Arian Moayed will join the previously reported Robin Williams in the Broadway production of Rajiv Joseph’s Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo, to play the Richard Rodgers Theatre, with previews beginning March 11, and an opening set for March 31. Moises Kaufman will direct.

This darkly comic tale is narrated by a tiger held captive in the Baghdad Zoo, and follows the intertwined lives of two American marines and one Iraqi gardener as they search through the rubble of war for friendship, redemption and a toilet seat made of gold.

All six of the newly announced actors appeared in the play during its two engagements at the Center Theatre Group in Los Angeles in 2009 and again earlier this year. This completes casting for the Broadway production.

Williams has appeared on the New York stage in Waiting for Godot, Robin Williams: Live on Broadway, and his Weapons of Self Destruction solo show . He received the Academy Award for Good Will Hunting, and his many other films include Dead Poets Society, Mrs Doubtfire, Awakenings, Hook, The Fisher King, Patch Adams, Happy Feet, and Night at the Museum.

Joseph’s play was a finalist for the 2010 Pulitzer Prize. His other works include Animals Out of Paper, Huck & Holden, All This Intimacy, and The Leopard and the Fox.
