Charles Kimbrough, Lily Rabe, and Matthew Rauch Win Equity Awards

Charles Kimbrough, Lily Rabe, and Matthew Rauch have won Actors’ Equity Awards for classical theater.

The Joe A. Callaway Award, for performances in plays written before 1920, went to Lily Rabe, who plays Portia in Daniel Sullivan’s production of The Merchant of Venice, and Matthew Rauch, who plays Solanio in Merchant; atthough the award was given for his work as Bosola in Red Bull Theater’s revival of John Webster’s The Duchess of Malfi.

The St. Clair Bayfield Award for best supporting performance in a Shakespeare play went to stage veteran Charles Kimbrough for his work as the Prince of Arragon in Merchant.
